HeroDevs came in with deep expertise but no repeatable content engine. EVEN Media built the system: five recurring shows on a predictable cadence — ABCs of OSS, CVE Kid Mode, Engineers in the Wild, Between Two Servers, and conference recaps — plus a weekly Shorts pipeline. A single product launch video generated 120K+ views and over $200K in annual recurring revenue. 190 videos later, the channel has become the marketing team's primary content surface, not a side project.
Engineers in the Wild
HeroDevs wanted brand personality and community gravity around the channel. EVEN Media built a mockumentary series following software engineers through conference life — original format, original characters, distinctly HeroDevs. Shot in-season at Open Source Summit NA and turned into a season of six episodes.
CVE Kid Mode to Code Mode
Security vulnerabilities are dense by nature. EVEN Media helped HeroDevs make them accessible — a YouTube series that breaks down real CVEs in two layers: a plain-language Kid Mode story, followed by a technical Code Mode deep dive engineers can actually act on. Tied to real CVE release cycles so it stays evergreen and relevant.
All Things Open
All Things Open draws thousands of open-source developers and technologists each year. EVEN Media was on the ground for HeroDevs, capturing the full event — sessions, speakers, and community moments — turning it into a content library that kept HeroDevs visible long after the conference ended.
